Coalition of Combat and Big Guns 12
This Labor Day weekend the UrFight Team went on a weekend road trip that included two mixed martial arts promotions in Ohio. After 3 days of travel, and over 1,200 miles, the UrFight Team reached home safely and saw some great Ohio MMA.
Coalition of Combat: Friday Night Fights
Stop 1 took place in Dayton Ohio. Coalition of Combat: Friday Night Fights returned to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Dayton, Ohio. This Friday night fight was an outdoor show that we we're excited to attend. Most outdoor events bring excitement and electric that can be felt in the air, but with temperatures in the 90’s at fight time, we were all waiting for the sun to go down.
The fight card suffered a few last minute drop outs, but was highlighted with a three-round slugfest between Nichole Usko vs Teresa Cooper. The fight ended before 9 P.M., which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the fair. Be careful with all the downtown construction and detours, it took us about an hour to get back to the freeway because it seem like a GPS was drunk.
Mansfield Ohio Big Guns 12
The second stop on the Labor Day road trip for the UrFight Team Mansfield Ohio, where Matt Trukovich promoted Big Guns 12. This was a super stack card including:
Julian Lane v. Rocky Edwards
Cody Stevens v. Dustin Neace
Mike Williams v. Elonzo Harvey
The Richland County Fairgrounds was packed and full of energy. The show was professional and family friendly. It is easily one of the best promotions in the state of Ohio that we go to.
Team UrFight was in full effect with big wins from Mike Williams and Alex Poinar. UrFight is huge fan of the RFO and can't wait for the next show.
On the way home from this road trip we took a small detour to the Ohio State campus to check out the famous Horseshoe, where 1 day before the Buckeyes put the smack down on Buffalo. Maybe our next trip just might include tickets to see the Ohio State Buckeyes (Hint Hint Stacie).
