Later a temple was erected here and today is known as the Sreekanteswaram temple.
Pazhavangadi Maha Ganapathi Temple- this is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the Lord of beginnings. This elaborate temple has a small idol of him with his right leg in a folded posture and is considered o be one of the main temples in Thiruvananthapuram. The temple is elaborately carved and also to see and worship here are the 32 forms of lord Ganesha.
