Future mothers have to take good care of their body right before conceiving, which helps in avoiding miscarriages, weakness during pregnancy and underweight baby. Remember, the baby’s future is affected by the medicines you take, the toxins in your body and the nutrients as well. All this affects the growth of the baby, which is why one must be careful even during pre pregnancy period.

The pre-pregnancy period is also supposed to be significant as the body has to be fit and healthy. Also take a note of various allergies that you suffer from and if you have chronic diseases like asthma, diabetes, heart diseases, hypothyroid, obesity and oral health care should be attended to immediately.

There are certain foods to avoid before pregnancy that may cause harm to the fetus. Apart from alcohol, caffeine, there are certain seafood that you should avoid, like the seafood that may contain high levels of mercury, e.g. Swordfish, tilefish, shark, and king mackerel. The mercury can be responsible for the nervous system of the baby.
