The motorcycle is powered by the same 500cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that powers Royal Enfield Classic 500, and chugs out the trademark Enfield thump. Peak power output at 27.2bhp looks slightly less compared to the size and power of the engine, though the motor provides ample low and mid-range power. In terms of speed, the new Thunderbird Twinspark can do maximum 130kph, but gives maximum driving comfort between 80-100kph.

The UK based motorcycle company known to make bikes with maximum driving comfort, has put in a very decent saddle that is comfortable for long distances, and has slightly shifted the rider's footpegs forward in order to enhance comfort quotient.
