1.Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said,

أَبْغَضُ الْحَلَال إِلَى اللَّهِ الطَّلَاق

“The most hated Halal by Allah is divorce.”

2.Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) said: “The lawful thing which Allah hates most is divorce.”

3.Divorce is not good because it is a cause of enmity and also a cause of Satan’s delight. As for the commonly quoted hadith: “Marry and do not divorce for verily divorce causes the ‘arsh (throne of Allah) to shake”

4.Hazrat Muhammad. (SAW) mentions: “If any woman asks her husband for divorce without some strong reason, the odour of paradise will be forbidden for her.”-- (Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah

5.Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) said: “There are three matters in which it is not permissible to joke: marriage, divorce and emancipation (of slave).”

6.As per our beloved prophet (peace be upon him):"Allah did not make anything lawful more abominable to Him than Divorce. Of all the lawful acts the most detestable to Allah is Divorce."(Sunan Abu dawud: Book #12, Hadith #2172-2173)

7.Allah Ta'ala has cursed the one severing family ties..

“And those who break the covenant of Allah, after its ratification, and sever that which Allah has commanded to be joined (i.e. they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives) and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse, and for them is the unhappy home (i.e. Hell)” (Surah Ar Rad)

8.A cursed person is one who is deprived of the mercy of Allah Ta’ala. This sin is punishable in this world as well as in the Hereafter..

“There is no sin more deserving of having punishment meted out by Allah to its perpetrator in advance in this world along with what He has for him in the next world than oppression and severing family ties.” (Tirmizi)

9.The great number of Hadith that instruct family kinship emphasizes the matter even further..

“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him maintain the bonds of kinship.” (Bukhari)

10."And divorced women shall wait (as regards their marriage) for three menstrual periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs, if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect) to what is reasonable, but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise." (Al-Baqara-228)
