Patrón Añejo “John Varvatos” Cocktails

Recently, a few of us from Food & Beverage were on hand at the John Varvatos’ store in San Francisco, to celebrate the launch of the Limited Edition John Varvatos Bottle Stopper for Patrón Añejo. We enjoyed special cocktails mixed-up for the special occasion. We thought we’d share those recipes with you. Cheers!

Patrón Old Fashioned:

-3 oz. Patrón Añejo

-2-3 Orange Slices

-Bar Spoon of Sugar

-Dash of Angostura Bitters

-Muddle sugar and orange. Top with Añejo and a dash of bitters. Add ice and stir. Garnish with orange peel.

John V. Alexander:

-2 oz Patrón Añejo

-1 oz Patrón XO Café

-1/4 oz teaspoon grated nutmeg

-Combine all ingredients over ice and shake well. Pour into a martini glass and dust with nutmeg.


-1 oz Patrón Añejo

-1 oz Patrón XO Dark

-3 oz Coffee

-Chocolate syrup (to taste)

-Top with Coca-Cola

-Garnish with Luxardo Cherry

-Pour all ingredients (except cola) into a cocktail shaker and add ice. Shake vigorously. Strain over ice in a rocks glass and top with cola
