AIEEE 2012 is all India level qualifying examinations for engineering and many other courses throughout the whole country. The examination is held for students to test their knowledge and skills and those who score higher get the chance to take admission in top colleges to a particular graduation course in which they wish to appear.

AIEEE eligibility terms:

Students who wish to appear in AIEEE must have completed their higher secondary education from any of state university or central board with at least 50% marks for general caste candidates and 40% marks for castes like SC/ST?OBC/PH.

Examination mode:

AIEEE examination can be given right from examination centers or online as well. However the online examination facility is limited for only one lakh students currently which are offered on first come first serve basis. Depending on the graduation course in which you wish to appear there are questions offered from different subjects in the examination. Criteria are set for students after results so students can take admission from to top to average colleges depending on their marks.

Negative marking:

The negative marking rule is applied in AIEEE examination. According to rule on every 4 wrong answers 1 mark is deducted from the total. Besides as every question has more than one option to choose an answer from, if a student chooses more than one option then that answer will be considered as wrong answer or invalid tick. So if you don’t know the answer of a particular question, it’s recommended to skip it as it will keep you away from negative marking. Ball point pens are recommended as answer sheets are prepared and checked mechanically so to allow your answer spot to be checked and not skipped.

AIEEE application form:

AIEEE examination forms can be filed online or from colleges. One can purchase AIEEE forms from colleges or directly contact university to get forms or the address where forms are available.
