In a northwesterly direction of the Tower of London, you will find the Tower Hill, just outside the boundaries of the City of London, instead calling the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, home. Considered one of the oldest parts of London, archaeological evidence suggests that settlements on the hill can be traced back to the Bronze Age. Obviously, there are parts of London that we might never know about because of the giant skyscrapers that make archeological digs impossible. It was also the site of several notable executions in the 14th to 18th century. Now, however, it is home to a number of beautiful areas of green and several high-quality bars and restaurants.
Whilst there’s nothing more embarrassing, when you’re with one of the girls from the cheap Tower Hill escorts that are available to you, and you can’t pronounce the restaurant you’re dining at, some of us are drawn the quirky-named, possibly even themed, eateries that are in abundance in our city. And so when we learnt of Addendum, we could think of nowhere else we would want to go. Mere moments from Tower Bridge, this modern, contemporary, and rather cool diner allows patrons to escape the hustle and bustle of the heaving metropolis that so many of us call home. The understated decor is just that, bordering on minimalism and downright chic, it does well to not appear completely empty. Perfect for any occasion, but it an intimate dinner for two or a business lunch with colleagues. With an extensive wine list, the expertly mixed cocktails may have to take a back burner as you sip the very finest of the most pungent grape. Specialising in European cuisine, the traditional dishes are cooked using the freshest and finest ingredients, creating extravagant meals like linguine with crab and their signature chuck steak burger.
gain with the funny name, quite possibly making us laugh because we’re quite immature in the morning, we were immediately drawn to the Balls Brothers. Situated dead opposite the notorious Lloyds building, this particular place is popular with the City’s brokers, who opt to come here to do business, relax, or just have a good night out. Sleek and sophisticated runs in abundance throughout, with the traditional surroundings of a bar an homage to the good old days. Whilst we’re debating whether it be an oxymoron, the masculine chic allows for a high level of comfort and an upbeat atmosphere. With a menu that is packed full of British goodies, still maintaining the high-quality dishes that they are famed for, they also serve some quite fabulous wine.
