Shortcut to Eject USB Drive

This facility is only for USB devices not for others devices to eject. You can use windows method for that.Using USB Disk Ejector from the GUI,This is very simple to use just launch it or double click or press enter on USB device so you can see the device is eject. You can also assign hotkey to the shortcut so ejecting can be done by keyboard also.Using From the Command Line (Advanced)You can do it with the facility of  command line . You just need to pass the parameter to eject for which drive. It is also done by default. You will start this with /? Parameter for showing help dialog,At this point you know about the command line so you can check it. For example you flash drive is in  G drive  and here you will write the following.usb_disk_eject /removeletter G,You can have message if you do something wrong. For example you write this command without USB drive than then you will get error message like this:Here we can use partial name also if the USB drive seems to change lot of letters but the syntax for this will change. For partial name you have to write * before the keyword. If you put second * in search string then it will not work. For the example flash drive full name is “Memorex TRAVELDRIVE 005B”.So you can use full name like:usb_disk_eject /removename “Memorex TRAVELDRIVE 005B”Rather than above you can use *Memorex as well:usb_disk_eject /removename “*Memorex”Create a Shortcut to Eject a Specific USB DriveHere we can make the shortcut because we know about the syntax. To create the shortcut just right click anywhere on the desktop, select New and then Shortcut.

The location box will open, here you have to write the full path of USB Disk Eject application file, and then write parameter then the drive name:C:\path-to\USB_Disk_Eject.exe /REMOVELETTER G.Give the appropriate name to the shortcut and then you will see the icon which can eject the drive. You can also use /removename parameter,Assign a Hotkey to the Shortcut. Now for the shortcut we can assign hotkey to it. Just right click on the icon and select properties, here you will see shortcut tab for writing shortcut key,When you will assign the shortcut, close the dialog. Now you need to restart the system for working of hotkey. It can also move to another folder like in the launch bar. For the Windows Vista you can use built in hotkeys rather than gave them manually one by one.
