Green Park is one of London’s many tranquil open spaces. The smallest of the three parks in the area, Green Park offers a more intimate, peaceful atmosphere than its neighbours and is often overlooked. Whilst this is terrible shame,  given the its natural beauty, it does mean that it gets a lot less busy than Hyde park, and it’s much easier to enjoy a picnic in peace without having throngs of tourists traipsing past every few minutes, ruining your tranquil escape with their chatterings.

The park design helps to accentuate this atmosphere of seclusion. The area is largely untouched by man, which means that besides a handful of monuments, there are no artificial structures to spoil the natural splendour. The lack of lakes and pavilions allows you to enjoy the tall trees and lush grass without interruption, a rare thing indeed in bustling London. Even in the winter it’s still wonderfully relaxing to take a walk through the frost covered park, arm in arm with a London escort, wrapped up snug and safe in thick coats.

You’ll be hear that there’s plenty to be done when you’re finished relaxing. Luxurious Bond Street, filled with some of the greatest brands in the City, is a short walk away, should you feel the need to indulge yourself in a little bit of retail therapy. It’s advisable to take a friend with good taste or  one of the many stylish, independent Green Park escorts, because many of the fabled stores are not the sort of places that do refunds. There are few things grander than walking through the boutiques of Asprey and Tiffany, but Buckingham Palace is one of them. The official residence of the monarchy ever since 1837, when Queen Victoria came to the throne, the palace draws in countless tourists every year with its opulent display of the royalty’s life. This are best seen in the 19 lavish state rooms that are available to be toured, but there is also a more humble note in the beauty of the gardens. With its famous lake and massive variety of beautiful flowers, the gardens are just another example of the beautiful wildlife in the area.

If all this tranquil strolling has left you feeling a little peckish, then why not treat yourself to a spot of lunch at Fortnum and Masons. As well as offering an excellent shopping experience, the department store also has a highly praised pair of restaurants. Their Gallery restaurant offers a fine range of delectable mid day treats that combine the best seasonal ingredients. In the evening, the Fountain restaurant serves excellent brasserie food, with its steaks and welsh rarebit coming highly recommended. For those looking for something a little bit more refined, haute cuisine rules at the nearby Ritz. The splendid dining room plays host to indulgent dishes like ballotines of goose liver contrasted by coulis, fish poached in butter and consommé infused with dozens of tomato varieties. From golden grandeur to the simplicity of nature: Green park has it all.
