When you are immersed in
Kerala, eternity is just round the corner. It amounts to pure bliss. There are
scores who were enchanted by the beauty of Kerala. You are cordially invited to
taste from the elixir.

Kerala is situated in the
Malabar Coast of south western India. With its pristine beaches, mist veiled
hill stations, winding backwaters, enchanting wildlife, emerald landscape and
suave art forms Kerala attracts millions to its fold.

This emerald piece of land
is cradled between Western Ghats and Arabian Sea. Western Ghats homes many
enchanting hill stations and exotic fauna and flora. Some of the prominent hill
stations of Kerala are Munnar, Wayanad, Wagamon, Peermade, Nelliampathi and
Ponmudi. Out of these Munnar is the destination Kerala
tour operators
include mainly in their packages. Munnar is a mist
shrouded hill station blessed with salubrious climate. Situated at one thousand
and six hundred meters above sea level, this gorgeous paradise is located near
the confluence of three mountain streams – Maduppetti, Nallathani and Kundala.
Once a summer resort of British, Munnar extends its magic touch which is
refreshing, soothing and gentle to millions who comes in expectation of
savoring it. With its rolling hills, undulating meadows, sprawling tea gardens,
gorgeous colonial bungalows, cascading waterfalls and gushing brooks Munnar is
ideal for trekking and mountain biking. There are also many interesting
sightseeing spots nearby Munnar like Eravikulam National park, Anamudi Peak, Mattupetty, Pallivasal,
Chinnakanal, Anayirangal, Rajamalai, Echo Point, Top station and Tea Museum.
Eravikulam National Park is home to Nilgiri Tahrs - an endangered species.
There is also a unique event which happens every twelve years. It is the
blooming of Neelakurunji. Munnar hills are covered with carpet of blue and it
is a marvelous sight.

The prominent beaches of tourism Kerala are Kovalam,
Cherai, Varkala, Kappad, Muzhappilangad and Bekal. Of these Kovalam is the more
frequented. Tourism potential of Kovalam was discovered by Travancore Kings and
it is one of the oldest known tourist spots of India. Kovalam shot into
prominence when in ninety seventies, hippies thronged to this place in large
numbers. Kovalam found a place in global tourism map with that event. Kovalam
is situated thirteen kilometers away from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of
Kerala and is easily accessible through road. The seas of Kovalam are not too
deep and you can walk up to hundred meters into sea. This fact along with
clement weather makes it safe haven for swimming. The white sandy beaches are
also inviting for sunbathing. It is an invitation most find unable to resist.
There are attractive coral reefs near the shore. For an underwater view
tourists can go snorkeling. They also can have rides in catamaran rowed by
local fishermen. To add to all these, the accommodation facilities available in
Kovalam are top class. Most of the resorts in Kovalam are situated in the
precincts of beach that tourists can stay in the ambience throughout the stay.
One of the endearing quality of Kovalam is that it has not lost its innocence
despite being highly crowded and commercialized.

Thekkady is famous for the
Periyar wildlife sanctuary it homes. This sanctuary is surrounded by an
artificial lake formed by Mulla Periyar dam. By having a boat ride in the lake
surrounding landscape and wildlife can be savored. Elephant coming in hordes to
play in the lake is a prominent attraction of Thekkady.
