Mukti Juddha Museum
Situated at Segun Bagicha area of the city the museum contains rare photographs of Liberation war and items used by the freedom fighters during the period. It has a rich collection of paintings, old coins, metal images, world famous embroidered quilts (Nakshi kantha) and much more..
It is situated at Agargaon. The museum has several galleries like: Physical science gallery, Fun science gallery, Biological science gallery, Technological gallery, IT gallery and so on. Except those, there are a science park, a sky observatory and a science library.
Ahsan Manzil is known as majestic pink palace and one of the old structures in Dhaka and trivial architectural monuments of Bangladesh.. It now has 23 galleries displaying portraits, furniture and household articles and utensils used by the Nawabs. Its a nice historical place beside the river Buriganga.
Central Shahid Minar
Shahid Minar is a national monument in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the symbol of Bengali Nationalism. This monument was built to commemorate the martyrs of the Historic Language Movement of 1952.
Traditional foods like chotpoti, phuchka and kebabs are one of the most sumptuous items which are craved by all age groups. There are many food courts and small restaurants near the side walks of the lake. Dingi, Panshi, Shampaan are one of the popular restaurants beside the lake. Tea, soft drinks, pickles, pithas(Bengali Sweet Cake) and ice-creams are available in the walkways too.
