If you are planning an Egypt vacation, then you better make some arrangements beforehand. Egypt, as you would know, is not the perfectly salubrious destination when it comes to climate. It is one of the hottest destinations you would ever land in. It is also pretty dry and would have been a complete desert, had it not been for the graceful presence of Nile.

In case, you reside in a cooler country, then you will have to prepare yourself mentally for some sunny days ahead! The best time to plan your vacation would be during the winter days. If you cannot stand the heat at all, then make sure to organize a trip during December, January or February. These wintry days would offer you some pleasant time, though the afternoons can still be a bit discomforting. Alternatively, you can also plan a trip during the months of October, November or March. These 3 months are relatively cooler than the rest of the year, though not as cool as the aforementioned months.

At the same time, you must think from the financial point of view. Though winter is the best time to tour Egypt, the tariff rates and flight tickets reach their zenith during this time of the year. The country receives a flood of tourists at this peak season.

If you hail from a tropical region and are used to the stinging rays of the sun, then you can plan an Egypt vacation even during the summer. It would be tough to do sightseeing during the afternoons at this time of the year. But on the happier side, the prices touch their nadir at this time and even the most miserly tourist can have a budget-friendly holiday.

You also need to do some other preparations. If you are not quite fit or healthy, then you should better start going for strolls every day for a month or so before your trip begins. You can also start workout sessions to up your fitness quotient. An Egyptian trip won’t be exactly taxing to your health. But you would still need to brave the sun and walk a lot especially while visiting the pyramids and temples. So, you better make sure that your fitness level is at its peak.

Also, carry medicines and pills to be on the safe side. Some people especially the younger kids can feel dizzy or nauseating with the sudden change in temperature. It is always good to be prepared with a set of the prescribed medicines. While packing, pay special attention to the kind of clothing you wear during the summer time. Light clothes are preferable, but if your Egypt vacation is timed around the winter, then also add some light woolens.
