So the first of March was meant to bring the start of spring. It may not quite be here yet, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t put a spring in your step and enjoy what March has to bring, and this march, as with every year, St Patricks Day will be the one to celebrate. It is the one time of the year where you can dress head to toe in green and not have to worry about being called a Leprechaun. In fact, you will wear your green with pride, as you dance about London streets and cosy up to gorgeous British escorts in every Irish pub in town.
St Patrick’s Day celebrates St Patrick, who went to Ireland to Christianise the Irish. He is celebrated not only as a man who helped men through his teachings (he is said to have used the Shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to his parishioners) but also as the principal champion of Irelands Christianity. As such Ireland celebrates St Patricks day as a national day, and a day in honour of Patrick, and many other countries around the world celebrate this also, as they say ‘everyone is a little bit Irish on St Patricks Day!’
This year for St Patricks day London is pulling out all the stops and there will be a whole day of festivities, from the St Patricks Parade that will start at Piccadilly Circus, through to pubs and bars all over London donning their green and getting in the spirit of things by serving green beer and green food. This is a celebration not to be missed, so whether you and your mates have something arranged, or you want to hit the town with British escorts is up to you, just know that this isn’t any ordinary parade. This is one that will last until the wee hours of the morn, and is not for the faint of heart! If you think you can last the day (and the subsequent night) then you have to get all kitted up. First off you will need to wear green, this is a must. If you are taking British escorts with you then you might have to reminder her of the dress code, many places in London will give you free entry for costumes, so you may as well take advantage of this. After this you will need to make sure that you have your cell phone (in case you get lost from the gang during or after the parade/pub crawl) and enough money to catch the taxi back to your place or that inner city hotel room you booked. Once you have all that sorted it’s time for you to head out there and celebrate spring, March and St Patrick’s special day.
