IGNOU – OpenNet is one of the entrance exam conducted by IGNOU for admission into nautical science courses that are offered by IGNOU and held every year. It is necessary for the course and mandatory for students who wish to enroll in the course or program that may vary from one year to 4 year course study.
The purpose of the exam is to choose the right students for the course and help them to get the right education and training needed in the real world. They will be provided top quality training and a deep knowledge about the subject so that they can make a bright future and career. The IGNOU Opennet consists of questions from various subjects like English, general knowledge, reasoning, aptitude, mathematics, chemistry and physics and many other subjects that are related to nautical science. There are certain marks allotted to each subjects and candidates have to answer the question which are put forward in objective method. The exam is conducted for three hours and there is no negative marking system here.
However, the candidates have to be eligible for the IGNOU Opennet. They should fit in the educational criteria that are required by the course, the age and also the physical standards. One should have passed 10th and 12th standards with at least 50% marks from a recognized board from any state.
To apply for IGNOU Opennet, one has to buy the forms from the IGNOU University or download it from the official website. There is a certain fee for the application form that is to be paid by DD and must be sent to the registrar to the university address. After qualifying in the entrance exam, the candidate is admitted to B.Sc nautical science in the university and different colleges. This is not an online exam and candidates have to appear at the various allotted exam centers.
The IGNOU Opennet is mostly taken up by students who wish to make a career in Nautical Science that is a science of marine vehicles. It deals with the navigation of the ships and the safety relating to ships.
