"Wording" your marketing strategy

1. Banner ads are a thing of the past. (Thank goodness!) There are more effective ways to achieve an advitsors goals, yet banners ads continue to prevail over other methods. There is nothing worse than going to a website FULL of them. And how can we even determine how many people even look at them? Just because they are there doesn't mean we pay them any attention anymore. There is no longer a captive audience online - doesn't come as a surprise with all the choices we have.

2. Content is so important when it comes to advertising. And not just any type of content. It has to be unique, compelling, important, informative, etc. for it to even be read by anyone. It also serves as advertising. Content is advertising something, even if it wasn't initially intended to. And if it's not compelling or even remotely interesting whatever it is advertising simply won't work.

3. When developing an effective marketing strategy, think outside the box.. literally. Words are more powerful than you would think.
