Viper Island is a place where British kept convicts. The first jail which was later abandoned was built here. It has a gallows on the top of a hillock were condemned prisoners were hanged.
Chatham Island homes one of the biggest and oldest saw mill in Asia. The saw mill is a tiny island connected by a bridge built over sea water. The main harbor is also here.
The main Andaman Beaches are Corbyn’s cove, Radhanagar, Harminder Bay, Karmatang and Ramnagar.
Corbyn’s cove is one of the more picturesque of beaches. It is ideal for swimming and sun bathing.
Radhanagar and Vijaynagar Beach are in Havelock Island. It is the ideal place to relish unpolluted nature if you are environment lover.
The Cellular jail, located at Port Blair is the only historical monument of importance. This is the place where many of the freedom fighters were jailed and tortured.
