The We the People, Inc. of the United States Court-appointed Receiver has asked the Court to allow it to file the first Quarterly Report, detailing the status of the Receivership assets, on May 9th.
The Receiver has been appointed by the Court to oversee the orderly liquidation of We the People, Inc. of the United States, on February 13, 2013, nine days after the Securities and Exchange Commission accused We the People’s promoters, Richard and Susan Olive, of orchestrating a nationwide fraudulent offering of securities in the form of We the People-sponsored Charitable Gifting Annuities.
The First Quarterly Report of the Receiver is expected to shed some light over the current status of the remaining We the People assets, and over the defunct company’s financial situation. Typically, investor recovery from fraudulent schemes is low. In some cases, investors may be able to recover additional compensation for their losses from third parties that may have assisted in the promotion of such schemes.
Securities attorneys Alan Rosca and Joe Peiffer have been investigating the We The People, Inc. alleged fraud and are preparing to take action on behalf of investors who purchased the We The People Charitable Gift Annuities (“CGA”). Their investigation is focused on those promoters who sold the We The People annuities to investors. Investors in We the People’s CGA program are encouraged to call attorneys Alan Rosca or Joe Peiffer, toll free at 888-998-0520, for a free evaluation of their case.
