Berlin is a very beautiful city. It has historic as well as geographical significance. Many people visit Germany just to see the beautiful sights in Berlin. The monuments, the museums and the art galleries are the major attractions for tourists visiting Berlin. Apart from sightseeing, Berlin is also famous for the bars, the cafe, the restraints, night life, and shopping

Some Interesting points:

Berliner Dom
The first church was built here in 1465. This rather modest building later served as the court church for the Hohenzollern family. The church was replaced by a cathedral, built between 1745 and 1747 in a Baroque design from Johann Boumann. It was remodeled into a classicist building from 1816 to 1822 following a design by the Berlin architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

The Islamic Art Museum, focused mainly on the Middle East including Egypt and Persia, features art from the eighth through the nineteenth centuries. Guests can view architectural decorations, ceramics, jewelry, metalwork, wood carvings, textiles, and calligraphic works.

Tourists can see the ministry church and its impressive cupola along with the baptismal and matrimonial chapels, the imperial staircase, the Hohenzollern crypt with nearly 100 coffins dating back four centuries and the Cathedral museum. Visitors can also go up to the top of the dome to have a remarkable view of the centre of Berlin.

Europa Center Today
Though many newer and glitzier malls have sprung up in the city since Europa Center was built, locals still have a soft spot for this Berlin first. Still home to dozens of shops, restaurants, clubs, and cinemas, tons of tourists still stop here to do a little souvenir shopping and to grab a pint at the Irish pub, located in the basement.

Museum Island : Granted UNESCO National Heritage Site status in the year 1999, Berlin's Museum Island was designed to be "a sanctuary of art and science". The five museums that comprise Berlin's famous Museum Island are located between the Spree River and the Kupfergraben..The museum was built to allow the general public to view the royal art treasures of Germany.

Visiting the Holocaust Memorial
The Holocaust Memorial, officially named the Monument to the Murdered Jews in Europe, can be visited at anytime - night or day. A subterranean Information Center, located at the base of the memorial, offers stories of families and individuals who faced the wrath of the Nazi party and provides further information about the design and construction of the memorial. The Information Center is open from 10 am until 8 pm.
