Millennium Tower: A Luxury High Rise Unlike Any Other in San Francisco
In the modern, fast-paced world of today, it takes a very special kind of building to make passersby stop and say "wow." San Francisco's luxurious Millennium Tower is just that kind of building. This high rise condominium, completed and opened to residents in April of 2009, has become a defining landmark in the San Francisco skyline and is a monument to grand style and a luxury lifestyle.
Millennium Tower in SoMa – San Francisco's "South of Market" neighborhood, was first envisioned by New York City-based Millennium Partners and has truly become a landmark of the area. Although the 58-story structure is comprised mostly of residential areas, it also features some some non-residential spaces as well, including a ground floor restaurant and wine bar.
Standing alongside the breathtaking 58-story tower is a smaller residential 11-story tower, also developed by Millennium Partners. These two towers are connected by a two-story glass atrium. However, to fully understand the layout of Millennium Tower, it helps to think of it in three parts, not two. One part comprises all 11 stories and 53 units of the smaller tower and is called the City Residences. The lower 25 floors and of the larger tower are known simply as the Residences, while the upper levels are the Grand Residences. But names can be misleading. No matter which of these three sections one chooses to call home, one is sure to experience a true luxury lifestyle.
Luxury Living in San Francisco Reaches its Pinnacle at Millennium Tower
This building's residencies are reportedly among the most expensive in the entire West Coast. Because of this, Millennium Tower has plenty of amenities to offer its residents, including comprehensive fitness center complete with lap pool, jacuzzis, yoga studio and steam rooms! Residents can also enjoy monthly celebrity music performances and film screenings which are a part of the tower's exclusive event programs.
Of course, most expensive residencies are not the only records this tower can boast about. It is also the tallest residential building in the United States west of the Mississippi river, the tallest concrete structure in the entire city of San Francisco, and the fourth tallest structure overall. If you have a fear of heights, stay away, but if you have a love for luxury living in San Francisco and have a soft spot in your heart for a home in SoMa, Millennium Tower is the place for you.
