Gaadi.com, India's leading internet based portal for posting the particulars about used vehicles and new vehicles, delivers an insight into the Honda Dream Yuga. Users will be capable to catch this mass market motorcycle which hit Indian market in July 2012.
Honda has made yet another bold attempt to mark presence into the mass market segment. It has come out with ‘The Dream Yuga' which is Honda's second bike in the mass commuter segment, after the CB Twister. Dream Yuga is positioned for the masses. The bike offers conservative styling, looks, and comfort. Honda realising that it is a Japanese brand has carefully labelled the bike ‘Yuga' an Indian word, in an attempt to get close to the potential customers.
The Dream Yuga offers everything that a 100cc bike should have such as twin pod instruments, speedometer, odometer fuel gauge, strong headlight, comfortable grips, good quality switches and levers, and a four-speed gearbox in stylish refined format. The bike does not offer front disc brakes. All this comes with Honda's trademark 109cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine that provides good fuel efficiency. The bike provides 8.5bhp power and peak torque of 0.9kgm.
In terms of comfort, the bike offers a comfortable upright riding posture, with handlebar and footbar fitted with good perfection. The shock absorbing capability is enhanced by the suspension, telescopic front forks, and twin hydraulic shock-absorbers at rear. The bike offers a longer seat in order to provide some sitting comfort to the pillion. Dream Yuga basically fulfils very basic commuter needs of good handling and manoeuvrability in narrow lanes.
Broadly, the engine and looks of the Dream Yuga are borrowed from another Honda bike, the CB Shine. Dream Yuga does not offer anything that stands out immediately, but offers everything that a basic entry level bike should have. It is the cheapest bike offering from Honda's stable priced at Rs. 44,642 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Honda has made a bold attempt to challenge the dominance of Hero Motocorp in the 100cc entry level bike segment. Bajaj, TVS, Suzuki, and Yamaha also eye this segment and competition is intense. With offering like Dream Yuga that contains all basic features of a 100cc bike, it is to be seen if this bike can create ripples in the market and pose a threat to the dominance of existing big boys.
Gaadi.com unveiled a detailed page of Honda Dream Yuga that provides complete specifications, features, expert and user reviews along with some amazing pictures of the Dream Yuga. It also contains the exhaustive review of the first drive for select few Indian journalists.
