Service crane controlling system or the crane remote control is one of the best implementation of modern radio remote control technology. Radio remote controlled service cranes greatly improve jobsite safety by providing the operator the safest vantage point for effective control of the crane. This is a one-man control system that literally eliminates the need for a second person stabilizing the load while guiding its placement. While using the system the operator enjoy full freedom to move around the work area while setting the load precisely into position.
The handheld transmitters used in the systems are available with up to twelve crane control buttons. The crane control buttons are generally specified by the customers. The transmitter is very powerful and it is able to catch the tiniest of signals. The transmitter signal can also penetrate brick or concrete wall. Operator can recharge the transmitter and once recharged the rechargeable transmitter delivers 30 hrs of continuous use between charges. Charger is supplied with the system. Optional 'Enable' button included in the transmitter requires two deliberate steps before signal is sent. This signal is known as enable plus command signal.
The equipment mounted receiver or the controller is available for up to twelve pre-programmed high-side outputs. These outputs can be selectively interlocked to other operations for safety reasons. The user can also get powerful operating range by using an external antenna. The optional external antenna extends range from 100ft up to 2000ft. The receiver section is interfaced to OEM crane controls that can be simplified with factory installed, direct-plug connectors or through J1939 serial communication. All the modular components and external set-up button allow for easy installation and field replacement.
The receiver section is programmable with up to 12 programmable channels including: Latched, Momentary, Enable and Interlock modes. The operator can also use custom OEM programming. The whole receiver unit is constructed in water and impact resistant polycarbonate enclosure. It can be mounted externally on the crane. All the wiring connections are pre-wired to meet OEM requirements and the quick connect fittings are also supplied. Normal 12/24 VDC battery or 120VAC power supply is used to control the crane control system. The control unit can take the current load up to 4Amps@ 12VDC per channel or 10Amps DC per system total. The total system weighs 2lbs.
