The Samsung Galaxy Beam operates excellently as a Smartphone, and has a nice optical device as well. If you are able to invest approximately Rs. 25,000 on a Smartphone then Samsung Galaxy Beam is the right one for you.

Android Smartphone producers try to append characteristics that will differentiate their gimmicks from the rest of the Android phone. Some produce with a slim form, some spotlight on design, while others provide free cloud storage. Some still brag of glasses-free 3D potentialities. But above all this the Samsung Galaxy Beam has successfully added a projector to the phone. This is an achievement for Samsung to be proud of because a lot of other companies had failed in their attempts of adding a projector. It operates on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and features a 15 Lumens projector. Is it adequate to assist it surpassing the competition? This surely is a million dollar question.

There is no doubt that the Galaxy Beam is not slim at all with dimensions of 14.9mm in breadth. Although the appliance is chunky still you will not find it very weighty at all with a weight of 156gms. It is huge, but yet is very easy to clasp. The Galaxy Beam consists of a 2-tone tinge – black and yellow giving it the looks of a taxi. The device is black both at the front and back with yellow border all around it.

On the face, the Galaxy Beam consists of a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen show with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. On top of the screen is the earphone to the left of which perches the VGA facade facing camera for video discussion.

Underneath the Galaxy Beam’s video display are 2 touch susceptible buttons – menu and rear along with one material button – home. Towards the left of the gadget are the capacity rocker, earphone jack and the SIM card slot. The SIM card perches beneath a flap cover, which is pleasant as it defends the card too.

Towards the right of the gadget is a like flap below which perches the micro SD card gap. The right section also carries the on/off/sleep and wake button. There is a 3rd button which is utilized to switch on and off the optical instrument on the Galaxy Beam. The position of the buttons is suitable and they are well placed on the gimmick of the mobile.

The back panel has a good feel to it. The backboard has a textured rubbery finish, which contributes excellent ergonomic value to the gadget. The hold of the rear board is actually good. The rear of the camera in addition has the 5MP camera with an LED flash and with you can shoot video in 720p@30fps. It is not crazy? So go ahead and get the one for you fast.
