Put Windows Computer into Hibernation

On the desktop anywhere right click and chose New than Shortcut from the menu.The location box will open you just need to type this line:C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState 0,1,0 Now you have to give the appropriate name to the shortcut which should be meaningful, for this shortcut “Hibernate Computer” is better.Now you can see the shortcut on the system and you can change the icon also.Change Shortcut Icon:For changing the shortcut icon you need to right click on the icon and select properties.Now from the shortcut tab click on the Change  Icon button .For viewing the icon in this file type the following line:%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll.After writing this you will see the list of the icons from where you can select your desired icon. You can see many of the icons for power at there just select and press OK. You can also browse the icon from the directory where that is saved.So you can view your selected icon in the properties window. Just do tick on OK.Now you can see the shortcut with great icon that wills hibernate your machine.In the snapshoot we use Star Trek icon for more interest.You can also pin it to the taskbar for your easiness.

Conclusion:Now by creating the shortcut and pin it to the taskbar you can put up your system to hibernate mode very easily and quickly.
