The IIBF preparation demands a whole different angle for the preparation aspect as its marking scheme is quite different from the other conventional management exams. Due to this fact the candidate have to concentrate on all the aspects and topics while preparing for the examination. It is divided into THREE papers
Paper 1 – Principles & Practices of Banking

Duration of Examination, Questions Pattern
Duration of the Examination would be 120 minutes for each subject. Approximately 120 multiple choice questions to be answered in each paper.
- Pass: Minimum 45 Marks in each subject with aggregate of 50% in all subjects in a single attempt.
- First Class: 60% or more marks in first attempt.
- First Class with Distinction: 70% or more marks in the first attempt
Repeaters will not be eligible for First Class and Distinction titles.
All the successful candidates will be ranked in order of merit.
Candidates have to pass all 3 papers in single attempt to get the qualification.
Repeaters need to re-register for the examination and appear for all papers.
