If you ever find yourself in south London and fancy a night out on the
town, Clapham is the place to go. The area attracts a lot of young
professionals, creating a lively and sociable atmosphere; it’s one of
the most sought after places to live in for London’s trendy crowd.
There’s a good selection of bars, pubs and nightclubs to choose from,
all of which are easily accessible in Clapham taxis at any time.

If you’re travelling there on public transport, make sure you know which
end you want to visit; there’s a tube station at Clapham Common and an
overground station at Clapham Junction, but there’s actually around a 20
minute walk between the two. Just opposite Clapham Junction station
you’ll find The Grand, which is a live music venue and nightclub,
showing comedy performances during the week. They often have themed
nights and parties here, drawing crowds of students on some nights and
professionals on others. There’s a light up dance floor in here to
really get you in the disco mood, and VIP balcony suites to hire out for
special occasions. Infernos also has that 70s feel with a disco ball
sparkling overhead and runway lights around the venue; it’s the place to
party when you’re feeling groovy!

For the vodka lovers, check out Revolutions; it’s open until 2am and has
more flavours of vodka than you could shake a shot glass at. Just make
sure you’ve booked a Clapham taxi for a safe journey home. As well as
necking shooters and cocktails, you can even enjoy live jazz here on
Sundays. It’s a great way to unwind after an exhausting weekend. Other
good bars to visit include The Loft, Peacock Bar and Arch 635. I

cost isn’t an issue, The Blind Tiger and Lost Society are definitely
worth seeing. The bar and restaurant specialises in the 1920s
prohibition era, creating the ambiance of it through quirky art deco
furnishings, superb musicians and staff who play along with the act.
You’ll be in for a night of decadence here.

The day times in Clapham are lovely too; Clapham Common is a popular green
area where many locals come to relax and have fun. The historic town has
a village-like feel, which is quite refreshing in a city the size of
London! There are plenty of shops and cafes dotted about in little
pockets - some of the best ones are only known to locals because they’re
not on the main high street. It’s a great place just to have a wander,
taking in the gorgeous views across the common and exploring the side
