The report presents actual information about the wine market in Russia and its state as of October 2012.

The purpose of the report is to describe the state of the Russian wine market, to present actual information about the volumes of production, exports, imports, consumption and the state of the market, the changes that took place in 2012, and also, to build a forecast for the development of the industry in the medium term until 2017.

The volume of production of wine and wine-based products in the pre-crisis years was growing quite rapidly: in 2006 the growth rate was 138.2%, in 2007 - 114.3%. The crisis has affected the wine industry, though not as much as many other industries: production declined by 5.1%, with the largest declines observed in the production of wine (14.7%), and the smallest declines - in the production of grape and fruit wines (only 0.7%). http://www.bharatbook.com/market-research-reports/alcoholic-drinks-market-research-report/russia-wine-market.html

In 2009, the decline continued in the production of sparkling wines – a decrease of 6.8%, while in the other categories the downward trend had vanished. Thus, the production of grape and fruit wines remained almost at the level of 2008, and the volume of wine produced in 2009 was up 28.6% more than in the previous year.

In 2010, the situation has changed: now the largest growth was showed by sparkling wines (a growth rate of 115.2%), the volume of produced wine increased by 3.1%, while in the category of grape and fruit wines the decrease was 0.5%.
