Now that the Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark production is in full swing at the Foxwoods Theatre, this show is scheduled to run throughout this year, with many performance dates to select from. Apart from the storyline, the stunts included into the show were considered extremely dangerous, and a number of injuries were reported by actors while rehearsing for the production.

This show received much more publicity than an average Broadway show before it actually went on sale at venues. This production is considered as the most expensive production and has the longest preview period in Broadway history, which raised expectations for the musical by exponentially.     The initial preview of the show was panned by theatre critics, and it took the production staff a major overhaul in order to bring the production in line with expectations of the theatre crowd.

The official opening of this show was postponed several times, though it began its performances in 2010.
