North East London is a sub region of the Greater London Plan that includes the boroughs of Highbury & Islington, Upminister, Waltham Forest, Newham, Havering, Barking, Tower Hamlets and Dagenham. It is also the area in which Hackney and Ilford belong to. It is probably the most underestimated region of London as it is combines both the North and the East of London. What it is best for is the pubs, bars and restaurants, with such a variety there is always somewhere good to socialise all over North East London.
You must be Barking-mad not to have visited the London borough with the same name. Barking is home to the purveyors of fine wine, Davy’s. Supplying wine since 1870, they providing the City with the finest wines via their wine shop and online. Their Wine Bar, the Spotted Dog near Barking Railway is a traditional pub, with a twist. Serving a wide selection of drinks including Davy’s own labelled wines and port, plus real ales. Taste the delights of these fine wines whilst enjoying a range of foods from their lunchtime and evening menu. Ribeye steaks with hand cut drinks and a shared bottle of fine red wine with an escort in North East London sounds divine.
Head to Hackney and you can sample the delights that this ill-judged area has to offer. Unfortunately when you mention Hackney, it is the good things about the place that get forgotten. Just take a walk around the area and you will see for yourself that there are some lovely places to stop and try. Located just a two minute walk from London Fields Rail Station and less than a ten minute walk from Hackney Central Rail and Tube Station is the Pub on The Park on Martello Street, Hackney. Boasting one of the biggest beer gardens in North East London and backed on to a large, beautiful woodland park area, this is a great place to socialise with friends or with a North East London escort. Flying the flag for good pub fare with a twist, the Pub on The Park has a ever-changing menu for you to taste. Nothing says fresh and seasonal then a pub menu that doesn’t champion the ordinary. Seasonal, mouthwatering selection of well cooked dishes ranging from Cornish Sardines, Moroccan Spiced Lamb Steaks to Traditional Beer Battered Fish, Chips, Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce. Plus with a Sunday Lunch menu that offers some of the tastiest, crunchy Duck Fat potatoes with a selection of roast meat from Topside of Beef, Yorkshire puddings and horseradish, Pork Loin with brandy apple sauce and crispy crackling, Chicken breast with sage and onion stuffing or for the veggies amongst us, Mushroom and Sage Wellington with spiced tomato gravy. Doesn’t that all sound delicious? The autumnal Sundays that are ahead will be best spent in the Pub on The Park, with a North East London escort.
