Rotary Club of Faridabad NIT & Red Cross Society Faridabad organised Mega Health Check up Camp for



Over 350 people social deprived people get checked in the camp


Faridabad attended the unique camp where good number of eye specialist, audiologist and surgeons were offering their noble services. For the needy ones 100 free spectacles were also Faridabad: 1st September 2013: Serving the community through different social services has been the motto of Rotary Club of Faridabad NIT. Adding another mile stone in this journey a mega health check up camp comprises Free eye check up, hearing impairment, assessment for cleft and artificial limbs was organised today at sector 21 C, Community Centre Faridabad in association with Red Cross Society Faridabad.

More than 350 people including the aged and womenfolk from different backgrounds and ailments attended the camp and treated free of cost.  During the camp 43 free cataract surgery 2 special eye surgeries, 2 cleft surgery cases were enrolled. The cataract surgery will be done within coming week and the rest will be conducted by 3rd week of September.

Speaking about this initiative, Rtn Sandeep Goel President Rotary Club of Faridabad NIT said, “The objective of the health camp was to address the acute need for healthcare facilities. Numerous people suffer from severe eye problems and are unable to get treatment due to lack of such services in the vicinity”

10 handicapped and around 40 hearing impaired cases were also assessed and necessary arrangements made to provide them hearing aids, artificial limbs and wheel chairs & try cycles. Etc.


“The objective of these camps is to address the utmost need for health care for those who are unable to afford. By organizing these sorts of activities at Rotary club, it is our endeavor to bring back these elders to live normal life, “ told Rtn Sandeep Goel President.

The presence of eye patients was beyond expectation, as around 200 eye patients across distributed on the spot. The event also focused on creating awareness about the significance of eye donation.  



Also present on the occasion were Rotarians Sunil Mangla, Virender Chakravarty, Satish Adhlakha, Jagbir Singh, Jeetender Goel, , Vivek Sood, Anil Maggu & Anil Sharma, Sanjay Juneja Manoj Mangla and Seema Mangla etc.
