When you create a document, chances are you don't want the world and his wife reading your information. When it comes to this, you do have a few protection options available to you. Instead of just leaving the documents unprotected, susceptible to individuals reading the content, you're able to protect this information and always be rest assured that only you and those individuals who should be reading the content (those authorized) have access to it. When you encrypt information and grant document access, everything is protected. On top of that, with document tracking, you're able to see when the information is viewed and printed.

Document Access Rights

When you have a document you don't want everyone to have access to, you're able to block this with the help of
document access rights. This essentially is a protective block you place on the document. Unless someone has the correct password and log in information, they are not able to log on and open the document. This is great if you either want to just protect the file for yourself or you just want a few different individuals to possess the ability to read the content. You do want to make sure everyone has a different log in password and information (such as their work log in). From there, you're able to always have control over whomever reads and access the information.

Information Access Control

When you place a lock on the document, you are performing
information access control over the information. For starters, you are able to see who is opening the file. This is done with the help of document tracking software. Whenever someone opens the file, you're able to see who it is and when they view the content. This way, if someone who is not supposed to read the information or access the information, you're able to see this. On top of it, you're able to see when the file is wrongfully sent to someone else. If someone who has access to the file unlocks it and emails the file to someone else, you're able to view this information. This way, you always know who is seeing the information and who is able to read the information. This keeps the document as secure as possible, which is especially important, should you want only a few different eyes to come in contact with your content.
