Temporomandibular Joint disorder is a chronic disorder that can cause pain in the  jaw and can cause pain in many parts of the body as well. Some TMJ disorder symptoms include headaches, fatigue, ear, back, shoulder, and neck pain. People often feel pain while performing normal bodily movements like chewing or opening the mouth. There are TMJ treatment exercisesthat one can do thatare also very useful and not only give  you relief from the joint pain, butcan also prevent TMJ pain. Exercises which are guided by physiotherapists include mouth exercises, facial exercises, and joint exercises that are used to decrease stiffness. They can improve both the physical and mental condition of the patient. Remember, doing the jaw exercises should not feel painful. If the exercises are painful, then you should immediately consult a doctor. Exercises done in the wrong way can also cause the loss of flexibility and can cause stiffness in the joints.
