It’s the wedding season and you must be invited by many of your relatives and friends for a wedding. It is always fun to attend India wedding ceremonies; you can flaunt those beautiful dresses and designer jewelry, it’s a time to show off those beautiful and elegant outfits you had piled up in your wardrobe. Every woman wants to look exceptionally beautiful and elegant on the wedding day or at wedding ceremony. Indian wedding is never a one day affair as it is full of rituals and ceremonies which start a week before the wedding day. Each occasion requires appropriate attire.

Girls find it the best time to get dressed the way they want and sometimes they copy the Indian movie actresses with make ups and similar dresses. It is like a fashion show for them where they want to look best on the ramp, jokes apart. Wedding rituals begin with the haldi rasam (turmeric paste), where all relatives and friends would apply haldi to the bride and she is supposed to wear a yellow saree or any other yellow dress. Her friends and relatives go for Traditional Wearlike salwar suits or a beautiful designer saree.

This tradition is followed by mehendi rasam, accompanied with songs commonly known as “sangeet party of women” is also organized wherein a bride puts mehendi(henna paste/ natural herbal dye) on her hands and feet while other women get busy with their dances and singing programs. This tradition is always full of fun exactly the way pictured in Sooraj Barjatya’s movies like “Vivah” based on Indian weddings. This occasion also requires Ethnic Wear and most of the time girls choose to wear Designer Salwar Suitsotherwise lehenga Choli. This occasion is also a very important part of the Indian wedding and many relatives are invited, so brides as well as other members of the family select special dresses for themselves.

Next comes the wedding day and on this day everyone wants to look the best whether it’s a boy or a girl or elders or the youth but the Bride’s place is always special as she looks most beautiful and special on this day. The Bride’s wear is always a Traditional Wearwhich includes either a saree or a lehngha choli. The bride’s clothes are very rich in color mostly in gold and red. It is richly decorated with cunning craftsmanship and embroidery that has a mixture of colorful threads, glasswork, beads, etc.

A decade back people used to take the painful process of reaching out to tailors much in advance and had to follow up regularly in regards to their clothes. It is not the same today as the introduction of online shoppinghas changed this tiresome process into a more enjoyable one by just sitting in front of a computer from the comfort of your home and have your clothes ready without any trouble.
